Privacy Policy
Last updated October 28, 2026
The short version
- Your journal is private to your account. Other members can’t see your trades unless you choose to share one.
- We never sell your data and don’t run ads.
- You can download or delete everything anytime from Settings.
What we collect
- Account details: your email, username, optional display name and bio, and your confirmation that you’re 18 or older.
- Trading data you import: the contents of the broker files you upload (orders, fills, symbols, prices, dates) and the trades we build from them. We don’t ask for broker logins, passwords, or account numbers.
- Things you create: notes, tags, rules, posts, replies, chart images, Helpful marks, and feedback you send.
- Basic technical data: like your browser type and the page you sent feedback from, plus standard logs kept by our hosting providers.
How we use it
- To run your journal: group fills into trades, calculate your stats and insights, and check your rules.
- To run the community features you choose to use.
- To fix problems and improve the site based on feedback.
- To contact you about your account, like sign-in emails.
Insights describe your own past trades. They are not investment advice.
Who can see what
- Your trades, notes, tags, rules, and stats: only you.
- Ideas posts, replies, chart images, and trades you attach to a post: other signed-in members. Images are stored at public links, so anyone with the exact link can open them.
- Privacy switches on your profile control what will be shown when public profiles launch.
Service providers
We use a few trusted companies to run the site, and they only process data to provide their service to us:
- Supabase: accounts, database, and image storage.
- GitHub Pages: hosting the website.
- Payment processor (when paid plans launch): handles card payments. We never see or store your full card number.
We may share information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, and the database is set up so each account can only read its own private data. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Keeping and deleting your data
- Download: Settings → Your data, as JSON or CSV.
- Clear your trades: Settings → Delete all trades.
- Delete your account: Settings → Delete account removes your account and everything in it right away. Backups held by our providers roll off on their normal schedule.
Age requirement
Quillstrike is for people 18 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone younger.
Changes
If we make important changes to this policy, we’ll update the date at the top and let members know on the site.
